Datin Ong Kid Ching's home was the setting for an intimate demonstration of floral arrangements of the Ohara School for the Johor Bahru Ikebana International Chapter 235.
Members were walked around her home to view arrangements that she had already prepared as well as stopping at selected spots in her home to view at close hand the execution of techniques of this school.
Datin Kid Ching took this opportunity to launch Ohara Circle, a group for Ikebana enthusiasts, focussed on the Ohara school. This initiative was welcomed by our Chapter President in her opening speech who was pleased to see the Ikebana community here in Johor Bahru grow to include more dedicated branches. Under Datin Kid Ching's guidance, the Ohara Circle will focus on active study through regular lessons, display of their work and field trips to research floral material.
